The "What I Did This Summer" Update

Where to start...?

The abridged version:
Graduated.
Got a job.
Was lazy for a month.
Played WoW.
Started the job.
Went to a Backstreet Boys concert.
Back to work.
Become WoW deprived.

That's basically the outline of my summer. ^-^ So, time to elaborate I suppose. I somehow landed a job at the Software Engineering Directorate on the arsenal. government job, yay me! ^___^ At the graduation luncheon, Frank Franz, the president or whatever or UAH, made a big deal about my graduating in three yearts, which in turn led to people coming up to me asking if I had a job yet. To which I said no, cause I had planned to go back to UAH in the fall to start my masters, paying for it through a TA. (Ha, can you imagine me teaching a lab? o.O That would have been a painful experience...) So, this one lady introduces me to her father, who is the director here at SED. o.O He tells me to call him on Monday, which I do. And lo and behold, I got a job without ever interviewing. Go me!
Anyway, I didn't actually start till July 11, which gave me oh-so-much free time before then to laze about. Which I enjoyed. Thoroughly. ^^ So no details here, but those lazy weeks were great!

Got World of Warcraft a while back. Think I updated something on that too... anyway, the game's quite fun. ^^ I don't suck at it as badly anymore! Go me! The sad thing is I'm still only at level 24 I think, and how long have I been playing for...? ^_^;

Work's pretty cool. Kinda slow right now, but I can't complain. I get every other Friday off, too. =D Work 9 hour days, so I can get that Friday off. The craziest thing is having to get up so freakin' early. For some crazy reason which I can no longer remember, I decided I wanted to come in at 7. o.O 7-4:30, what a day. On the bright side I get off early today. 3:30. Government jobs rock! ;)

And I just got back from a reeeeally long walk. Holy shnoodle, it's so HOT outside! >.<

So, Backstreet concert. Mmm... it was awesome. Being the dork that I am, I was at my keyboard the second tickets came out and managed to get 8th row seats for me and my sis. =D She went along for the ride. Hehe. It was so freakin' awesome! *squeals* It was on Sunday tho, and I had to be at work on Monday so we drove out to the ATL Sunday morning and made it back around 2 in the AM.

Aaaanyway, concert. Woo! Hehe, oh, we had to smuggle in our cameras. You're not actually supposed to take cameras into the Gwinnet Arena, so we came up with the ingenious idea of wrapping them to our leg. And you totally couldn't tell they were down there under the bottom of our pant leg. ^^ It was funny to see how many people had smuggled theirs in too. Everyone had a different story as to how they got it in. So, then the concert was the longest sustained euphoria ever. XD I screamed, bounced up and down, and took pictures like the crazy person I am. =D

So back to work, I guess. Those are the events of the summer. I could probably come up with more, but as I am at work, I suppose I should make myself look useful. Oh yeah, I have no time to play Warcraft anymore. :( It's sad. But that's what the weekends're for. =P

Did I mention the BSB concert was awesome? =D Oh, and I bought a BSB shirt, and yes, I'm wearing it right now.
